Jeremy is the co-founder and a Partner at Richter Jones (RJ LAW LLC) in Santa Fe, New Mexico with his law partner, David Richter and other experienced legal professionals.
His practice focuses on commercial law, corporate and partnership transactions, complex commercial transactions, real estate, probate and trust disputes, and numerous other legal disciplines.
Jeremy and David built Richter Jones on principles of strategic advocacy, personalized attention, and proactive problem-solving.

Jeremy earned his Juris Doctor from the University of San Francisco School of Law in 2004, where he served as Technical Editor for the Maritime Law Journal and received the CALI award for outstanding performance in Legal Ethics.
He expanded his international legal perspective with studies in International Law and Comparative Civil Law at Oxford University. He received his undergraduate degree in Political Science with a minor in History from Fordham University, graduating with honors. His foundational education was at Rockhurst Jesuit Preparatory in Kansas City, Missouri.
Academic & Teaching Experience:
Jeremy has shared his knowledge as an Adjunct Faculty Member at the University of New Mexico, teaching Business Law and Business Ethics to undergraduate students preparing for careers in business and technology.

Jeremy is actively involved with several professional organizations, including serving on the board of New Mexico Lawyers for the Arts. He previously served on the Executive Board of the First Judicial District Court Bar Association and is an Associate member of the Oliver Seth American Inn of Court as well as the American Bar Association.

Jeremy has earned numerous awards, including the “Award of Excellence” from the First Judicial District Court Local Pro Bono Committee, the CALI Award in Legal Ethics, a Public Interest Law Forum Grant for his internship at the California State Public Defender’s Office, and an Academic Merit Scholarship at the University of San Francisco School of Law.
Personal Background:
Jeremy was raised in Parkville, Missouri, a community just north of Kansas City, where his family instilled strong values in education, community service, and entrepreneurship. His grandfather’s role as Superintendent of the Park Hill Public School District emphasized the importance of education, while his mother’s career as a real estate broker and TWA flight attendant showcased adventure and business acumen. His father’s success in business taught Jeremy that success is hard earned and the journey is intensely satisfying.
Jeremy’s grandfather contributed significantly as a real estate developer, deepening the family’s legacy in community building the superintendent for Park Hill Public school District in Kansas City, Missouri .
Additionally, Jeremy’s grandfather and uncle served valiantly in World War I and II. His uncle, Charles Neighbors is laid to rest at the National Cemetery in Santa Fe, NM, alongside his auntie Lula (“Lou”).

Jeremy’s connection to Santa Fe extends back to his aunt Lou, who came to Santa Fe as a “Harvey Girl” working for Mr. Fred Harvey, one of America’s most iconic entrepreneurs who established the first civilian railway routes throughout the American West. Lou and his uncle Charles made home on Booth street in Santa Fe’s South Capital in the 1920s and many family members followed and to this day actively serve Santa Fe, both professionally and civically.
This rich history inspired Jeremy’s own move to Santa Fe, where he continues to cultivate deep personal and professional ties.
Personal Interests & Hobbies:
Outside of his professional life, Jeremy enjoys engaging deeply with fine art, philosophy, and literature. An avid outdoorsman, he keeps the momentum and enjoys challenges both professionally and personally.
